Berri here! For today's post, I will be showing you all the clothes I got in Japan. As some of you may know, I went to Japan in January and came back with a pretty decent amount of clothes. Why you ask? Because the sales were insane!!! All the items I purchased were marked between 50-80% off.
January is the prime time for these sales in Japan, so if you're planning to visit, go during January!
These two sweaters are both from Earth Music & Ecology and were marked at 80% off. I got these for $12 USD each, which is pretty amazing for thick oversized sweaters. These types of sweaters are usually priced at around $20 and up here in the US, so I had to buy two. Good thing they had different colors to choose from!
This jacket is from Earth Music & Ecology as well and I got it for only $15 USD!!!! Where in the world will you ever find a good quality jacket for that price? During the winter, no less. Finding this jacket was probably my proudest moment during my shopping spree in Japan.
As Know As Pinky
I have been looking for a jacket like this for awhile in the US, but they were all so pricey ($100 and up). I purchased this one from a store called As Know As Pinky, for only $40 USD! I'm not a huge fan of the fur, but it's removable so it works out. Jackets like this are a huge trend in Japan. Practically everyone was wearing a similar jacket during my time there.
Tobu
The last thing I got was five pairs of socks from Tobu, a department store near my hotel. They were actually selling this at the subway station everyday, so every time I went out I would encounter a stampede of grandmas and housewives picking their way through the mountain of frilly socks. Needless to say, I became one of those grandmas and decided to buy five pairs myself. It was five pairs for $8, which is $1.60 each. Not bad for some cute socks.
Now that we've reached the end, I realized I didn't buy as much clothing as I thought I did. These sales really got the best of me and I was trying to have as much self-control as possible. However, everything I bought was satisfying and I'm already planning for my next trip back..........when I have the money of course.
