Hello everyone! I will be reviewing the Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam by Innisfree. I purchased this product from the Innisfree One Year Anniversary sale a few weeks ago and made a post about it here. Go read if you're interested in what I got!!
Anyway, I decided I would make a review on this product first because it was the first thing I started using out of the entire haul.

CosDNA Analysis: This product seems to be quite comedogenic, so if you have acne-prone skin or any other skin problems, this product can lead to irritation and potentially cause more acne. Please research these ingredients thoroughly before investing in this product! CosDNA has info on each ingredient, so make sure to check that out.
Like most foam cleansers, the texture is creamy; kind of similar to toothpaste consistency.
There a beads in the cleanser that is called, "Jeju volcanic scoria". According to Innisfree, the Jeju Volcanic Scoria is "an alkalescence substance, similar to human blood. It is a pure ingredient of stable system with no impurities." They also state that the scoria "absorbs sebum strongly and purify pores clearly."
Initially I thought the beads were exfoliating beads, but the scoria is not as hard and breaks away while you are cleansing your face. It is quite similar to those bursting beads, but it is not as soft.
The foam that is produced isn't the frothy type because this cleanser doesn't come in a liquid form nor does it have the foam pump to create frothy foam. Personally, I like cleansing foams that have a creamier foam -like this one- because it is much more suitable for my skin. Creamier foam cleansers aren't as drying because there are not much bubbles and it is much denser. Whereas frothier foams contain smaller bubbles that fit into your pore, making it easier to draw out impurities, but also drying out your skin a lot faster.

I tested this product by using BB Cream first. The BB cream above is the Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream in Perfect Fit.
The cleansing foam did a pretty good job removing the BB cream. Although it is not too apparent in the picture, it was not able to remove all of the BB cream. There was still a bit of BB cream left in the lines on my skin. If you look at the picture closely, my hand is a lot whiter after washing with the foam. My guess is that the foam distributed the BB cream throughout the entire back of my hand instead of removing it completely. However, it did remove a lot of the BB cream without having to use a cleansing oil, cleansing brush, or makeup remover.

For the next test, I used a waterproof liquid eyeliner. This one above is Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner.
Now, you obviously wouldn't use the cleansing foam to remove your eye makeup, but I decided to do an eyeliner test just to see how powerful this cleanser is. As you can see above, the cleansing foam was able to remove about 95% of the eyeliner. Honestly, that is very good considering the fact that the eyeliner is waterproof!

I give this a 4 out of 5. The cleanser removed most of the makeup, but wasn't able to remove all of it. This cleanser would work very well on bare skin. But if you are wearing makeup, I would suggest using a cleansing oil prior to using this cleansing foam. The oil will help draw out any makeup that the foam can't. However, my pores did feel a lot cleaner after using the foam, so I'll give it that.
I give this a 4 out of 5. This cleanser isn't the most gentle because it is suppose to be pore cleansing. However, for a product that is suppose to dig deep into your pores, it doesn't feel too harsh on my skin. After using the product, my face is never left feeling irritated or red. This product can be used everyday, depending on your skin type. My skin is quite sensitive, but I am able to use this product with no problem.

I give this a 5 out of 5. The smell is amazing! The scent is very floral with a hint of sweetness. At first I thought this cleanser was going to smell earthy because Innisfree products have that appeal, but I was shocked when I was given a sweet, floral scent instead. I'm a sucker for scents like this!

I give this a 3 out of 5. The bottle is just a regular squeeze bottle, so there's nothing special about it. The design is rather plain, but that is Innisfree's style. Ultimately, there is nothing eye capturing about the bottle, which is why I gave it a 3 out of 5. The cap is very durable, however, so there won't be a problem of product leaking out. Some squeeze bottles have poorly manufactured caps, so I was happy with how sturdy it was.

Overall, I give this product a 4 out of 5. This cleanser does what it promises, which is cleaning out your pores. Although it is not powerful enough to remove all of your makeup, it was still able to remove a lot of it without using additional products. But to be fair, which cleanser is really able to take off 100% of your makeup? This product was able to leave my skin feeling clean and my pores looking clearer.
No I will not. This product is good, but there isn't much that is persuading me to purchase it again. Yes, it did make my pores feel cleaner, but there are a bunch of other products out there that will do the same. Ultimately, I like this product, but I don't see anything special that sets itself apart from other products.
Thank you for reading my first review!
I will try to add more content in the fashion section soon.
