[Tutorial] Neutral Smokey Eyes

Hello everyone! This will be my first makeup tutorial for this blog, so I decided to keep it simple and do a neutral smokey eye. This is usually the look I would do on a daily basis because it is casual and appropriate for any occasion! Since it is my first tutorial, feedback and any criticisms would be appreciated. There are instructions on image already, but I will add more detailed instructions below this picture just to make things clearer!

Instructions:
1. Prime your eyelids with eyeshadow primer. This step is to prevent your eyeshadow from slipping and sliding off. Here, I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance ($20).
2. Apply a base color all over your eyelid. This step is optional, but if you want your eyeshadow to stand out more, then apply a base color. A base color can be any white shadow of your choice.
3. Apply a copper eyeshadow onto your inner lid and stop when you have reached the middle. I used the color 'Trick' from Urban Decay's Naked 3 Palette ($54)
4. On your outer eyelid, apply a dark brown eyeshadow and blend it with the copper color from the previous step. I used the color 'Factory' from the Naked 3 Palette.
5. Gently swipe a light brown color onto your inner lower lash line. This step will help make your eye makeup look a lot softer. Plus, it will make your makeup look less top-heavy.
6. Line your eyes as closely to your lash line as possible and end with a slight wing. I will have a tutorial soon on how I do the slight wing. Here, I used E.L.F's Professional Studio Cream Eyeliner in Black ($3).
7. Curl your lashes! I used Shiseido's Eyelash Curler ($19). It's a bit pricey for an eyelash curler in my opinion, but this one fits well with Asian eyes. However, any eyelash curler will do!
8. Coat your top lashes with a black mascara. Here, I used Tarte's Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara ($21)
9. Finally, coat your bottom lashes using the same mascara. Much like Step 5, this step helps make your eye makeup look less top-heavy.
Here's the finished look!

That is all for now, but more will be coming soon! Maybe I will try some Halloween looks, since October is right around the corner. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you all soon!
